Thiochalcone A

Thiochalcone A is a powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and skin soothing ingredient. It is derived from the root of the Chinese plant (licorice), which uses natural compounds to protect its cells from excessive sun exposure. When used in skin care products, Thiochalcone A reduces inflammation and neutralizes free radicals that negatively affect skin cells and accelerate the aging process. It helps protect the deeper epidermal skin layers from sun-induced effects.

Ceramides

Ceramides are important lipids in the hydrolipidic membrane (the outer layer that protects the skin). They are naturally produced in healthy skin and strengthen the skin barrier, helping to prevent water loss through evaporation and preventing irritants from causing inflammation and itching. When the skin’s ceramide levels drop, the skin barrier becomes compromised. The skin will begin to lose moisture and become dry and inflamed.

Eucerin uses bio-identical synthetic ceramides and enhances the skin’s natural barrier – locking in moisture and preventing dryness and irritation.
